Whispers Sculpture

This delicate sculpture from Diane Griffin is made from finely rolled and individually layered sheets of porcelain which contrast with the shiny metallic teardrops. The larger teardrop is fully coated in luxurious gold lustre, while the smaller one has had a delicate, mottled gold lustre treatment. The stack of paper-like sheets is representative of our quiet time, when we might write letters or journal out our feelings and thoughts. This act alone can be enough to set us back on the right path, expressing ourselves in hundreds of silent stories.
