Spotty Leaf Pod

Seedpods were the inspiration for this ceramic form by Lisa Ellul. Sage and lavender leaves have been rolled onto the surface of the clay leaving behind a skeletal imprint, almost like the fossilised wing of a dragonfly. Tiny holes have been pierced through the surface to represent buds.

Made from white earthenware clay and fired to 1120 degrees celsius. All pieces are handmade and totally unique.
