Zulu Plate Aegean D30cm

Honouring African traditions and South African craftsmanship, this aegean plate in shades of blue - part of As'Art's Zulu collection - is the result of the delicate braiding of falling telephone wires and copper wires. A form of craftsmanship marking the transition between the use of traditional materials (e.g palm leaves and dried herbs) and industrial ones, with the development of urbanisation, the weaving of the telephone wire. This would look beautiful hung on the wall as an alternative piece of art.

Since each one is handmade, each one is also completely unique.
